Hi, I’m Katie. I am a fully qualified, trauma-informed psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP (MBACP). I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. I work with teenagers aged 14 and over, as well as adults, supporting those who may be experiencing trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, or difficult life experiences.
I am based around 15 minutes from Milton Keynes and Aylesbury, providing accessible trauma therapy and counselling for individuals in the surrounding areas. My work is grounded in a person-centred and integrative approach, meaning therapy is always tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
I specialise in trauma and trauma-related difficulties. I understand how trauma can affect the nervous system, relationships, self-confidence, and daily life. My trauma-informed approach focuses on creating emotional safety and stability, helping clients gently explore and process trauma, understand trauma responses, and rebuild a sense of control, resilience, and self-trust.
I have experience working in schools, charities, and crisis settings, supporting teenagers and adults with a range of challenges including trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, low mood, low self-esteem, bereavement, identity struggles, life transitions, eating disorders, body image difficulties, gender identity, LGBTQ+ experiences, emotional distress, and self-harm.
I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who have experienced trauma or who have felt unheard or unsupported in the past. Therapy can be a powerful space to process trauma, reconnect with yourself, and develop a more compassionate and understanding relationship with who you are.
I focus on building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and authenticity. My aim is to create a calm, supportive environment where clients feel safe enough to explore trauma, past experiences, and present challenges without judgement.
