We offer a lower fee pathway for those unable to afford full-fee therapy with a senior qualified therapist. We are especially proud of this service because we believe it offers high-quality, low-cost therapy by capable trainee psychologists and psychotherapists supervised by members of our senior team and enrolled on high-quality courses. We work closely with our trainees on and their academic bodies to ensure we nurture their development and support them to be the best therapists they can be.
Enabling access to therapeutic support is one of our core values at Serendipity Psychology. We appreciate that accessing psychological and therapeutic support can be expensive when sought privately; we also appreciate that some people feel they have no choice but to seek support this way because they haven’t been able to access enough helpful, timely treatment through the NHS. For others, they may prefer to have more control of the person or team they place their trust in and feel that accessing private healthcare is the best way of doing this.
As our community offering, we also offer a low fee therapy service for those who are unable to afford to pay the full rate for therapeutic services. This service starts from £45 depending on individual circumstances and who it is allocated to within the team.
Most of our low fee services are offered by trainee therapists and assistant psychologists who are supervised by our team of qualified therapists. All our assistants and trainees are rigorously interviewed and vetted before they are invited to join our team. They are also required to be members of professional governing bodies such as the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS) or The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) to ensure they have subscribed to a code of good ethical practice.
All our trainees and assistants are supervised by qualified psychologists who offer their time at a significantly reduced rate, or free of charge.
