Hi, I’m Helen.
Life can throw some serious curveballs, and when it all starts to feel overwhelming, it can be hard to know where to turn. Maybe past experiences have left you feeling stuck or unsure of yourself, or perhaps things feel like too much to manage alone. I’m here to listen, understand, and support you in finding a way forward. Together, we’ll navigate the challenges at your own pace, without judgement, and focus on what matters most to you.
I’m a fully qualified, insured, and DBS-checked psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner, and clinical supervisor. My primary approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), where we work with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), a specialist trauma therapy that uses eye movement to process difficult experiences.
But beyond all the qualifications, my focus is on the relationship we’ll build. I truly believe that the connection between therapist and client is key. People have called me personable and approachable, and I aim to bring that energy into our sessions. Therapy with me is a conversation—real, human, and sometimes even humorous when it helps. (And yes, I’m not afraid to drop the occasional swear word if it best captures a feeling.)
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and I get that. If you’re unsure or have questions, I’m happy to have an initial chat to see if we’re the right fit. My goal is to support you in as few sessions as you need, offering a safe, open space where you can be yourself and explore what’s going on without any pressure. Therapy doesn’t have to be formal or intimidating—let’s figure it out together.
I’m available for sessions online via Zoom, so wherever you are, help is just a conversation away.
