Dr Susan Jacques

Counselling Psychologist

Hi, I’m Susan.

As a counselling psychologist, I have a genuine desire to support clients who are experiencing adversity, illness, or trauma. I value being part of a process that empowers individuals to better understand themselves and discover what enables meaningful change, ultimately fostering a sense of autonomy. I strongly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of psychological growth and lasting change.

Whatever has brought you to therapy, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a compassionate and safe space where we can explore together what may be keeping you feeling stuck. My role is to support you in navigating life’s challenges while encouraging you to move towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

A quality I value deeply in my work is authenticity. I believe it is fundamental in helping clients feel safe and at ease, particularly during times of vulnerability. By showing up in a boundaried yet genuine way, I aim to foster trust, which lies at the heart of effective therapy. I also place great importance on working collaboratively with you – starting where you are, rather than where you feel you should be.
