Hi, I’m Alex. I offer a structured and thoughtful space for couples to address the areas of their relationship that aren’t working as well as they could. I believe that couples therapy isn’t just for relationships in crisis; it is for any two people who want to navigate change, deepen their emotional connection, or improve how they communicate and relate to one another.
My role is to hold a balanced, impartial space where both partners feel heard and respected. Rather than focusing only on surface-level advice, we work to understand the underlying patterns of your dynamic—how conflict develops and what each of you brings to the relationship. I will work with you to explore difficult areas openly and without blame, gently challenging unhelpful cycles to help you have the conversations that often feel too difficult to approach alone. Whether you are dealing with ongoing conflict, emotional disconnection, or rebuilding trust after a betrayal, my approach is informed by established models like the Gottman Method and the work of David Schnarch. This ensures our work is tailored to your specific relationship, helping you make informed, considered decisions about how you move forward.
In addition to my work with couples, I specialise in Psychosexual Therapy. I provide an informed, respectful space to talk about sex without judgement or assumptions. I work with individuals and couples to address specific difficulties—such as pain, arousal issues, or mismatched desire—as well as the anxiety and shame that can surround intimacy.
Using models like the PLISSIT Model alongside compassion-focused approaches, we look at the whole picture: the psychological, relational, and physical factors that shape your experience. My aim is to help you move towards a sexual and relational life that feels more aligned, comfortable, and sustainable.
