Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellor based in Northampton, offering face-to-face sessions locally and online across the UK. My foundation is person-centred, and I’ve trained integratively, which means I work flexibly and collaboratively, shaping counselling around you. I believe the relationship between us is at the heart of the work; when you feel safe, heard and accepted, meaningful change becomes possible.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor within community wellbeing services, supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. Meeting people from many different walks of life has deepened my respect for how unique each person’s story is and how much courage it takes to seek support.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low, or unsure why things feel so hard right now. Perhaps you’re navigating grief, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, or questions around identity. Sometimes clients arrive knowing exactly what they want to work on; other times, they simply know something doesn’t feel right. Together, we can gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface, untangle patterns, and make sense of the narratives you may have been carrying for years.
My approach is relational and trauma-informed. I work at a pace that feels safe for you, whether that’s short-term, focused work or longer-term, deeper exploration of relational patterns past and present. Above all, I am committed to offering a warm, non-judgemental and inclusive space. Counselling with me is a collaborative process: we build trust together, we notice what happens in the room between us, and we use that understanding to support growth, resilience and lasting change.
However long you choose to stay, I will meet you with curiosity, compassion and honesty, and we will work side by side to help you feel more grounded, more self-aware, and more able to move forward in a way that feels true to you.
