We provide specialist psychological assessments for children, young people and adults, including autism assessments, ADHD assessments and broader differential psychological assessments. Our approach is strengths based, evidence informed and person centred, supporting individuals and families to gain clarity and plan next steps with confidence.
People often contact us seeking assessment for a specific condition or diagnosis, while others need a more comprehensive psychological assessment where the picture feels complex or unclear. We offer both pathways, helping you choose the most appropriate option from the outset.
Assessments are available online and in person, offering flexibility while maintaining clinical quality and consistency.
All assessments follow gold standard clinical pathways, are written in line with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidance, and include clear conclusions, practical recommendations and dedicated after care. Every assessment is reviewed by more than one clinician, ensuring robust clinical reasoning and a shared professional perspective.
These assessments are designed for individuals seeking clarity around one particular diagnosis or area of difficulty and are often used to support education provision, workplace adjustments, therapeutic planning and funding applications.
We commonly provide assessments for autism spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), combined autism and ADHD profiles, specific learning differences including dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia, cognitive and learning profiles, attachment and developmental trauma disorder, psychological and emotional needs including anxiety, emotional regulation and wellbeing, sensory processing differences including OT informed sensory assessment.
Contact us through our website, phone, email, or book an introductory call through our online calendar. Just give us your name, email, phone number, preferred call times, and how you found us. Let us know your challenges and goals
After we get your message, we’ll call you to learn more about your needs and preferences.
Once we schedule your first consultation, we’ll send you all the necessary documents and you’ll be on your way to achieving your goals. We’re excited to support you every step of the way.
A differential psychological assessment is recommended when a single diagnosis does not fully explain the difficulties or where there may be overlapping neurodevelopmental, emotional or developmental factors.
This more comprehensive assessment considers neurodevelopmental differences, emotional and mental health needs, developmental trauma and attachment experiences, learning, cognitive and executive functioning profiles, and sensory and regulation differences.
Rather than focusing on one diagnosis alone, this approach allows us to develop a formulation, meaning a more complex and joined up understanding of the difficulties, how different factors interact and what support is most likely to help.
Differential assessments involve greater clinical input and time and therefore higher cost but are often particularly helpful where the presentation feels unclear or evolving, previous assessments have not fully answered the question or support plans are not yet effective.
Some diagnoses require highly specialist assessment pathways that sit outside our core remit, for example foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD). Where this is relevant we can screen for indicators, identify and document concerns within our assessment, provide clear written recommendations and support you to access appropriate specialist diagnostic services.
Our aim is to remain proactive, transparent and supportive even when a specialist diagnostic pathway is required.
It is very common to feel unsure about which type of assessment is the right starting point.
You can explore individual assessments using the dropdown options on our website, select the condition or assessment you are interested in when making an enquiry or contact us directly if your concerns do not fit neatly into one category.
We also offer a free initial consultation appointment, giving you the opportunity to talk things through with us, ask questions and receive guidance on the most appropriate and proportionate assessment pathway for you or your child.
