Susan is a qualified trauma informed counsellor and member of the British association of counselling and psychotherapy (BACP). She is passionate and dedicated in supporting young people, adults and their families to overcome emotional and psychological difficulties, through the provision of high quality, professional therapy.
Susan has experience of working with a range of issues, such as, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties and bereavement. These have been in several different settings, such as, schools, NHS hospital and private practice.
Susan provide a friendly, safe and trusting environment built on compassion, respect and honest communication, where clients can freely explore their thoughts and feelings, without fear of judgment or shame.
Susan works creatively with a range of modalities, such as, person-centered therapy, attachment therapy and CBT. Consequently, sessions can be tailored to suit the client needs and focused on what they choose to bring, which can change from session to session. This offers a more personalised and effective experience.
Susan works with adults as well as children and young people from the age of 13 years old onwards and into the latter stages of life. Furthermore, she can offer both short and long term therapy, either face to face, via telephone or online with availability during the daytime and evening.
